Can I use tallow balm on my face?

Yes. Tallow & Tansy is made for the face. Warm a pea-size amount between your fingers and press it onto clean, slightly damp skin — face, neck, anywhere it looks dry. Reviewers use it on face, neck, hands, and arms.

Does tallow clog pores?

Use a little on clean skin. Start smaller than you think. Some people with dry, sensitive skin tell us it doesn’t sit heavy or clog them up. Everyone’s skin is different — patch test first if you’re not sure.

How much do I use?

A pea-size amount is enough for the face. Warm it first so it turns to oil, then press it in. A little goes a long way — more than one person has said a jar lasted them months of everyday use.

Can I wear it under makeup?

Yes. It melts in and layers under makeup without a greasy film when you keep the amount small. Morning, night, or both. Give it a minute to settle before foundation.

What does it smell like?

Blue tansy, neroli, and vanilla. A soft citrus, soothing, lightly floral scent.

Morning or night?

Either, or both. In the morning it sits under makeup after everything else in your routine. At night it’s the last thing on. Same pea-size amount either way.

Can I use this if I’m pregnant?

Our Face Balm includes blue tansy essential oil, plus neroli and sweet orange. If you are pregnant or nursing, check with your doctor before using it.
